Spring Break!

What a wonderful time of year to take a break! I have really been able to slow down and appreciate what is around me. Catching up with friends, reading a few books, organizing things around the house, and making dinner are just a few ways God has blessed me this week…and it is only Tuesday! I am so excited for the rest of the week. I get to go see some dear friends of mine tomorrow that I have not seen since May of last year!
I have started watching more closely what I am putting into my body. I sweet friend of mine introduced me to http://www.livestrong.com/. I love this site! I am able to see my goals being achieved and fix mistakes that I have made.
Have a super Wednesday! I will try to blog more this week and update with photos!

What a wonderfully busy week! I was able to submit the yearbook and my gifted unit! Amen! I can tell you my oh-so-loving husband is very thrilled to have me back! Now it is time to focus on us! God blessed me almost 13 years ago with this man and I he has supported me with everything that comes my way. Now it is my turn to show my support for him. He is Mr. Wonderful! He can cook, clean, iron his own clothes, pick out great furniture…I could continue this list forever. It is my turn to help out and show my support for him. I am going to start with cooking and cleaning. My goal is to make at least three dinners for us this week. As many of you know I am not exactly your modern day Mrs. Crocker. He has to eat healthy now because of his tummy issues. You can imagine how happy this makes me! Not the health issues, the healthy eating. He has always been thin and can eat whatever he wants…until now. I am working on losing my unwanted 35 pounds and healthy meals are a must for me. If you have any easy healthy recipes please share them with me. As for cleaning, I am a pretty good house keeper (when I am stress free…not sure when that has ever been the case, ha ha)! I am trying to make it a point to take care of one room a day. I use to have a schedule for myself posted on the refrigerator, but when I started teaching all personal schedules were thrown out the window! I will check in someday this week to give everyone an update. Have a blessed week!

Godly Features

I don't usually hang out in front of the mirror for many reasons, but tonight when walking into the restroom I marveled at God's wonderful creation. I saw two incredible people in me, both of my grandmothers. I am overjoyed about this. I have always looked up to both of them and tonight I recognized mommy's mom's nose and daddy's mom's eyes. Both women have had such an impact in my life! I recall daddy's mom teaching me how to pray each night bedside, knees on the floor, head bowed, hands folded, and reaching out to God with a voice of praise! Oh, how she had such an influence on my walk with Christ, even as early as four years old! Mommy's mom is the continued beacon of light fro me, that shines brightly of Christ. She is there for me with Godly advice always! Thank you Lord for allowing me to have a feature of each of these incredible women! I am truly blessed. I pray that one day I may be a bright beacon of light and a prayer warrior for a grandchild.

I am absolutely in love with the snow! The snow sent us home early today, but no worries we were able to tackle a few lessons during our three hours at school. When I got home I took our little Louie outside to see it, and to my surprise he actually stepped out in it. He is not a fan of the cold weather, but he was checking it out today.

Busy!

This week off has been wonderful.
On Monday and Tuesday I worked on my gifted unit and the yearbook. My gifted unit is on fractions. For those of you who know how academically diverse my class is you understand the stress of this unit. Though I differenitate all of the time, this is a stress increases because I am being observed for this unit. I am the yearbook chair for a school of 12oo students and my deadline is March 8th. I have the front end of the book to finish. Yes, I am crazy! I also was able to clean up around the house for a few hours each day.
Wednesday through Friday we worked around the condo in Hilton Head, SC. We love going there. My daddy was with us on this trip. M and daddy built a new daybed and removed the old sofa. I pretty much supervised and finshed the last book in the Karen Kingsbury Redemption series. I am so thankful one of my dear friends has let me borrow all of her books. I can't wait to begin the Firstborn series. M and I were able to enjoy a few walks on the beach in between the different tasks around the condo. We saw tons of sand dollars. They were just everywhere. We have never been in February before, but will really consider it next year. The water is so still and the beaches are just empty. I always enjoy eating at the different resturaunts around Coligny Plaza. We ate at Captain Woody's one aftertoon. I just loved their chicken salad sandwich. I usually eat mine with grapes, nuts, celery, etc... but their was so simple and served it on rye bread! Yum-um! We usually make it to the Sea Pines Marina, but with this trip being a short one we didn't make it. Glad to be back home and finishing a few more things before Monday.
Have a blessed week!

New Blogger

I really enjoy reading other's blogs, so I thought I would start my own. I am hoping to use this blog to share what's going on in my life and how Christ is working in my life. I am sure it will take me some time and effort to put together, but if I can share how Christ is working in my life than it will be worth every bit of it.
